How to Choose use it ?
1) It has nine different sizes and shapes, so that it can suitable for different ages , like th infant, children , teenage , adults .
2) The length of the first aid airway: the distance from the incisor to the earlobe or mandible Angle.
3) Appropriate oropharyngeal airway: its end is located in the upper pharynx and separates the base of the tongue from the posterior wall of the oropharynx.
4) The safe choice method is: prefer long not to know short, prefer big not small.Because the first aid airway is too short to pass through the base of the tongue and play the role of opening the airway, it is easy to enter the trachea by mistake because it is too small.
5) The width of the oropharyngeal airway: it is appropriate to contact 2-3 teeth of the upper and lower jaws
How to use it ?
1. Open client's mouth and place the oropharyngeal airway until its end protruded 1-2cm into the incisor
2. Raise the lower jaw with both hands, place the thumbs of both hands on the flange and push down at least 2cm until the flange of the oropharyngeal airway reaches above the lip.
3. Check the mouth: lips, tongue.
4. Reverse insertion: the pharyngeal curve of the oropharyngeal airway is inserted into the oral cavity towards the palatal part.
