Emergency First Aid chest seals non vented Medical vented chest seal IFAK Chest wound sticker
Sucking chest wounds require an emergency first aid solution that is fast, direct and effective. Chest Seal is specifically engineered to meet these critical needs.
Chest Seal uses hydrogel and therefore stays in place, even in difficult conditions.
Chest Seal is a sterile occlusive chest wound dressing for treating open pneumothorax and preventing tension pneumothorax that result from gunshots, stabwounds, or other penetrating chest trauma.
How to use chest seal?
1.Wipe away blood round the chest wound.
2.Remove the release liner.
3.Apply the chest seal over the wound with the adhesive side down.
4.Press the chest seal firnly to the skin to ensure full adhesion.
5.Check the back of the patients for an exit wound. Appply a second chest seal over the exit wound
Information:
1. Unvented chest seals (CSs) are currently recommended for the management of penetrating thoracic injuries in the battlefield. 2.With the unvented CS, the intrapleural pressure progressively increased to positive levels with smaller differences between inspiration and expiration .
The Vented Chest Seal provides users with a vented chest seal in a compact packaging for the treatment of penetrating injuries to the chest. Designed with 3 vented channels that allow air to escape the chest cavity during exhalation but prevents airflow from entering through the injury site during inhalation.
